No! Offshore Wind Power!
いま、秋田県では八峰町から由利本荘市西目沖まで合わせると沿岸海域に約500基もの世界にも例を見ない、超巨大洋上風車建設計画があります。日本を含む世界各地で既にできて建っている風車からと思われる超低周波振動音などで体具合が悪くなる症状を訴えている方々がいて、この壮大な計画がほんとうになればたくさんの沿岸住民（海岸から約2Kmの範囲）、由利本荘市であれば約12，000人の人々に影響が出る恐れが予測されます。市や県にはそこに生きて暮らして働いている数多くの方たちや生きとし生ける動物・植物をまもっていく重大な責任があるはずです。以下の理由で故郷にふさわしくない風車建設に反対します。
●地域住民の理解が得られていない。そもそも知らない。
●風車の影響で健康被害に苦しんでいる人がいる。
●渡り鳥や野鳥のバードストライク（衝突死）が起こっている。
●鳥海山、日本海、里山の美しい景観と自然環境が破壊されている。
●サーフィン、海水浴、釣りなどのマリンレジャーの妨げになる。
●海洋生物への影響も計り知れない。
●漁業の活性化にはならず、市域貢献にもならない。

秋田県の皆様、秋田をふるさとにもつ県外の皆様、秋田を愛する全国の皆様、どうかこの自然豊かな日本海の景色・環境を守る運動にご協力ください♥

No! Offshore Wind Power!
In Akita Prefecture, there is a plan to construct about 500 mega-offshore wind turbines in coastal waters from Happo-cho to off the west coast of Yurihonjo City, which is unprecedented in the world. There are people who complain of symptoms of getting sick because of the very low frequency vibration sound that seems to be coming from existing windmills in Japan and other parts of the world. If this magnificent plan is realized, it is predicted that it will affect many coastal residents (Range of about 2 km from the coast) and about 12,000 people in Yurihonjo City. The city and the prefecture must have a great responsibility to protect the many people who live and work there as well as living animals and plants. I oppose the construction of windmills that are not suitable for my hometown for the following reasons.
*The understanding of the local inhabitants is not obtained. I don't know.
*Some people are suffering from health problems because of windmills.
*Bird strikes (crash death) by migratory birds and wild birds are occurring.
*The beautiful scenery and natural environment of Mt. Chokai, the Sea of Japan, and satoyama have been destroyed.
*It interferes with marine activities such as surfing, swimming and fishing.
*The impact on marine life is also immeasurable.
*It does not invigorate the fishing industry or contribute to the city.

Please cooperate with the campaign to protect the natural scenery and environment of the Sea of Japan, for the people of Akita Prefecture, people outside of Akita Prefecture who have their hometown in Akita, and people who love Akita all over Japan.
